Before you go
Confirm opening times and access, especially out of season: closed tracks, unstaffed huts and barrier-closed car parks are the norm in autumn and spring.
There is not always phone coverage in the mountains: download the map before you go, tell someone your plan and call 112 in any emergency. These data come from OpenStreetMap and the weather forecast; confirm with the resort and official sources.
