Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data EstadoNieve processes, for what purpose and what rights you have, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights (LOPDGDD).

What data we process and why

EstadoNieve is used without registration, without a user account and without forms: we ask you for no data in order to use it. We do not use your device's geolocation. The only processing is the following:

• Technical server logs: when you visit the site, our server records the IP address, the page requested, the browser type and the date and time. They are kept for a maximum of 30 days and used only for the security of the site, to detect abuse and to fix faults. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Content delivery and protection (Cloudflare): the site is served through Cloudflare, which processes the IP address and the technical data of each request in order to deliver pages, cache them and filter attacks. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site working and protected.
• Usage statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify people: it counts page views, country, device type and load speed in aggregate.
• Contact email: if you write to help@estadonieve.com, we use your address and what you tell us only to reply to you. Legal basis: your consent and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in dealing with the enquiry.

What your browser does and does not do

• Third-party webcams, photos and trail maps are served from our own server, so your browser does not connect to the resorts or their webcam providers and does not send them your IP address when you view them.
• The share buttons are ordinary links: they load no code from social networks. Only when you click one do you move to that network, under its own terms.
• Links to the websites of resorts and public bodies take you outside EstadoNieve; each site has its own policy.

What we do NOT do

We show no advertising, we use no tracking or third-party cookies, we do not sell or pass on data, we do not build user profiles and we make no automated decisions with legal effects on you.

Processors and international transfers

• Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery, protection, DNS, cookie-free statistics and forwarding of the contact email). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and applies the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
• Google LLC: the help@estadonieve.com mailbox is forwarded to an email account hosted by Google (Gmail), which processes only the messages you send us. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
• The site's servers are located in the European Union.

How long we keep data

Server logs, 30 days at most. Contact emails, for as long as needed to deal with them and, afterwards, for as long as the law requires in order to address any liability.

Your rights

You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, object to or restrict its processing, request portability and withdraw consent at any time by writing to help@estadonieve.com. We will reply within one month. If you believe we have not dealt with you properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Minors

The service is not aimed at children under 14; we do not knowingly request or process data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
